Nidra is the first and only drug-free, wearable device of its kind. Nidra is clinically-proven to reduce symptoms of RLS and improve sleep by using a novel technology called TOMAC (Tonic Motor Activation) therapy. Visit www.nidrarls.com/why-nidra-therapy to learn more about this unique technology.
We provide a 3-year warranty for each of your Nidra therapy units. If your therapy units require replacement within the 3-year warranty, we will replace them at no cost to you.

Yes. However, the device should not be used during operation of vehicles or other moving equipment. For long car rides or flights, we recommend charging the bands in advance and putting them on after being seated but prior to beginning the journey, so you can experience relief at the onset of symptoms.
Yes. We recommend traveling with a copy of our Flying with Nidra Therapy (FAA Letter) and your prescription and the Nidra IFU just in case TSA has any questions. If you anticipate RLS symptoms in-flight, keep your bands in your carry-on and then place on your legs after you’ve taken your seat on the plane. Note that the device should not be used during operation of vehicles (including planes) or other moving equipment and uses lithium ion batteries (so you might not be able to pack in a checked bag – please check with your airline).
For best results, activate the Nidra bands after RLS symptoms appear but before they become severe. You can safely wear the bands to bed and easily activate if symptoms appear in the middle of the night. If you are not experiencing RLS symptoms, you should not use your Nidra bands.
No. For the most effective therapy, wear the bands on both legs during therapy. Nidra has not been tested for use in only one leg. If use on both legs isn’t feasible, speak with your Therapy Support Specialist for further guidance.
Please refer to the Nidra Patient Manual for detailed instructions on how to apply the CDI patch.
A full charge can take up to 2 hours. You should charge both devices daily after each use and keep charging until the next session.
Patients report different sensations when experiencing TOMAC therapy with their Nidra bands, with some describing it as a tingling sensation.
Yes, knee replacements are not a contraindication. Patients with knee replacements were included our clinical trial. Please see our safety information for a complete list of contraindications.

Yes. There are no limitations regarding the location of RLS symptoms. Regardless of symptom location, the bands must be applied to the same location (just below the knees).
Nidra is only contraindicated for metal implants in the leg at the therapy site (not including knee replacements). Therefore, there are no limitations regarding metal rods implanted at other locations. For a complete list of contrainidications please visit NidraRLS.com/isi/.

It is best to speak with your physician to determine the appropriate treatment for your RLS symptoms.
A recent clinical trial demonstrated that patients who stopped using Nidra after 6 months, experienced a gradual return of symptoms over time. It is recommended to continue using it on nights when symptoms are present. Visit the Learn section of our website to explore our clinical data.
Each person is unique and experiences RLS symptoms differently. The Personalized Activation session customizes your therapy settings to your specific symptoms. During the session, your therapy levels will be established (based on your feedback) and programmed into your device. This helps maximize the amount of relief you achieve to help you sleep better.
It is rare for the device to get hot. If the device feels too warm, we recommend avoiding tight clothing or bedding around the device or turning the device off if necessary.
Nidra is indicated for use in adults with primary moderate to severe RLS who are refractory to medications. Please visit NidraRLS.com/isi/ for Safety Information and contraindications.
Yes, you can use Nidra at any time throughout the day when symptoms are present.
Your therapy starts at level 3 after the bands are turned on.
Yes, you can start another 30-minute session immediately after the first session ends if you still are experiencing symptoms. There are no restrictions on how many times you can use Nidra in a day.

Because Nidra is a new therapy, many commercial insurance providers may not have a formal policy in place for our product. The out-of-pocket cost to patients is highly variable depending on insurance coverage, time of purchase, and deductibles. The base price for Nidra is $7,500, while additional supplies (Charge Dispersing Interface replacements) cost $75 per month. Our dedicated team works closely with your insurance provider to understand your options and provide you with a clear understanding of any associated costs before making a purchase. Our goal is to ensure transparency and eliminate unexpected costs.
We prefer to help patients pursue insurance reimbursement and encourage you to speak to our team that can help navigate insurance. If that isn’t an option, cash pay is available for the upfront cost and additional monthly supplies, which include Charge Dispersing Interface replacements (a prescription is required and Nidra must be commercially available in your area). When you are ready to get started, our team is available to discuss your options.
Once you receive your Nidra device, our team will schedule your personalized activation at the nearest location possible. Both in-person and remote/virtual options are available.
Each Charge Dispersing Interface (CDI) patch is intended to last 7 days after the packet is opened. After 7 days, discard the used CDI and replace with a new one before you begin the next therapy session.
Yes, you can visit our website to find a Sleep Specialist in your area, or you can contact us directly to find a doctor in your area that prescribes Nidra. Results can vary for each individual. As you start your journey with Nidra, our dedicated Therapy Support Specialists collaborate with you to achieve important milestones during your initial weeks of therapy. Once you have learned how to use therapy with the optimal timing, placement, and intensity, most patients report acute symptom relief within 30 minutes of starting therapy. In our clinical studies, patients noted substantial improvements after 4 weeks of therapy. In a clinical trial, patients continued to improve the longer they were on the therapy. Roy A, et al. Sleep. July 2023;46(10).
Please consult a Sleep Specialist prior to making any changes to your RLS treatment. Reducing medication while on Nidra therapy has not yet been evaluated by the FDA.
Nidra is the name of the wearable device that delivers therapy. TOMAC therapy refers to Tonic Motor Activation therapy, and is the technology within the Nidra device that provides symptom relief. TOMAC is a novel neurostimulation therapy developed by Noctrix Health that engages specific nerve fibers.
Refractory means that you are not satisfied with your current RLS treatment due to one or more of the following reasons:
Your prescription medication is not providing enough relief
You are experiencing intolerable side effects
You require an increased dosage of a dopamine agonist or gabapentinoid
We recommend speaking to a Sleep Specialist to learn more.
If you have RLS (primary moderate-severe) and experience side effects or insufficient relief with your current RLS treatment, Nidra might be right for you. For more information and a complete list of contraindidations, please read our Safety Information at NidraRLS.com/isi/.
The battery lasts a minimum of 3 years.
Our primary focus is ensuring that as many individuals as possible can access the benefits of our therapy and we are currently working to expand Nidra coverage with additional insurance providers. At this time, Nidra is also available for an out-of-pocket purchase. A prescription is required to begin therapy.
Nidra is available with a prescription from your doctor. Contact us today to learn more or to help find a physician.
Replacing the CDI 7 days after opening is important to keep your therapy working at its best. After opening, the hydrogel begins to dry out. This can decrease the conductivity required for the stimulation. By replacing your CDIs after they have been open for a week, the treatment remains consistent while also protecting your skin from potential irritation.
To get the most out of Nidra, make sure you place the bands in the correct location and set the intensity high enough to feel relief. It is also important to start your therapy as soon as you begin to feel RLS symptoms. By using the right position, intensity, and timing, you will get the best results.
